Blacklight watched them talk about how well arrowpaw had done. He agreed, even though he'd suggested the herb for infection. I was out hunting and I must have been too absorbed in the hunt to notice the things on the ground around me. he explained to Moonleaf. His paw felt much better now that arrowpaw had seen to it. He licked his black chest fur, seeing a speck of dust.

Moonleaf nodded understanding. She flicked her tail, signalling that he could leave if he wanted too, and then walked back into the den, sniffing and looking at all the herbs. She decided they were a bit low on marigold, another good herb for stopping infection, and would mention it to Arrowpaw later.

Blacklight nodded to the two cats and took his leave. his black fur brushing against the bushes around him, he walked out of the medicine den. His fur shone in the sun that peeked out at the camp from above. He decided to go sleep in the sun. he found a sunny spot near the warriors den and layed down and closed his eyes.

Seeing it was his time to give, the apprentice gave a nod, and the left the two cats, swelling with pride and happyness... he had completed a test. [Ah! No muse today...]

Blacklight had fallen asleep instantly the moment he had closed his eyes, the warm sun soaking into his fur. When he opened them, it was a little after sunhigh and he was getting hungry. He looked at his injured paw, which was throbbing gently, and then he got up, careful not to get it dirty. He hobbled over to the fresh kill pile and picked out a large mouse. As he sat eating the prey, he remembered that he had left what he had caught out in the forest, he would have to go get it. The flavours of the mouse seeped in his mouth, and filled his belly so that he was not hungry anymore. Finished, he rose and padded towards the camp entrance.
