Autumnstar watched Rivermist talk. "Your voyage makes sense. Go, warn the other clans. If you do however see any of the other leaders, send them my regards and tell them that no rogue has been seen in our territory," she said. She gazed at Rivermist for a long second before adding. "I would rather my Clan be in perfect health, rather than I. I am lucky enough to have seven lives, but they are only born with one. The disease is irrelevant to me, but I need to know that my Clan will be safe. When you are gone, what shall I do if someone comes down with the sickness?" Autumnstar said seriously. She knew that she had to quarantine the cat, but she knew very little of remedies. [/size]

ooc//sorry, but i forgot the remidy for the sickness! some med cat i am! lol! can you refresh my mind?
ic//Bluepaw strolled into the den and dipped his head at the two cats. Excuse me Autunstar, but I thought that maybe we should warn the queens to not go near where we buried the rabbit. And I wanted to tell you that maybe the sickness is still in the air. He smilled shyly as his lyrics floped out of his mouth. A small nod of the cranium told he was done with his statement. And I wondered if maybe we should quartine the queens and kits for a few days? Untill we are sure that the sickness is no longer in the camp? He finished his song in two questions, not wanting to make Autumstar think he was trying to be a medicine cat apprentice.

Outside the clear, cold air was crisp and fresh, but inside the dark den the air was slightly stale but warm: the opposite of outside. Rivermist paused by the entrance to the den, turning around to answer Autumnstar's question. She was silhouetted in the bright morning light, but was unaware of this as she addressed her leader. "When you are gone, what shall I do if someone comes down with the sickness?" "Move them to my den. Make them as comfortable as you can, and have the strongest and healthiest cat only come near him. Currently, I believe this would be you." The slender medicine cat fell silent, brooding, and her face was thrown into shadow so no one could see her expression. She glanced up and met her leader's gaze, continuing on her orders. "If they cannot be moved, leave them where they are and get everyone else in the immediate vicinity - most likely a den - somewhere else. Give the sick cat catmint. It's what we use for greencough and whitecough, and should hold off the severe symptoms for a while... two days at most, longer if you catch it early enough. I'll pull out a bunch for you and leave it where you can find it." Finished speaking for what she thought was the last time, Rivermist began to walk out of the den, only to almost run into Bluepaw. She hastily backpedaled, allowing the small apprentice to get by her. Once Bluepaw was all the way in, Rivermist began to walk out again - and was once again halted, this time by Bluepaw's voice. "Excuse me, Autumnstar, but I thought that maybe we should warn the queens to not go near where we buried the rabbit. And I wanted to tell you that maybe the sickness is still in the air." Sighing, Rivermist faced the two cats. Apparently, she was still needed for the moment. "No," she said before Autumnstar could speak. Her tone was a bit tetchy, it was true, and Rivermist paused to regain control of herself and her vocal abilities before continuing. "Sorry. I don't think that would be necessary, Autumnstar. There shouldn't be a hazard of them running into the rabbit at all, since it should have been buried far from camp, and the queens don't go out that far when they're expecting or nursing kits. Secondly, the rabbit should leave a pungent odor - perhaps you can smell it in here? - wherever it goes, and should leave an even stronger smell where they buried it, since it'll be rotting away and everything. And, as far as I know, no cat would go digging up something obviously dead for fun - or food. As for your second point-" Here Rivermist drew in a deep breath, having almost entirely run out of air while she was ranting, taking only enough breaths to keep going, and even then they were shallow. "As for your second point," she continued, calmer now, "I doubt we'd have any trouble with that since the illness is not airborne. However, you should alert everyone to the position of the buried rabbit, so warriors and the like don't go stumbling over it by accident." So saying, Rivermist began to walk out again... and Bluepaw's voice was heard once more. The medicine cat had endearing patience, but this patience was wearing thin as the pressing anxiety to get done with her mission and return before anything horrible happened was taking over her senses. "And I wondered if maybe we should quarantine the queens and kits for a few days? Until we are sure that the sickness is no longer in the camp?" "You will not - and I repeat not - quarantine anybody without my say so unless they are undoubtedly and utterly sick, or showing any signs of being so. As long as no one brought in more of the crow-food and put it in the fresh-kill pile, thus infecting the rest of the prey, there should be no worries about it spreading in the camp. If it does, I've told you what to do. Now - I need to go." Finished speaking for what she knew and prayed was the last time, Rivermist dashed out of the den. She'd apologize to Bluepaw later. Right now, she had a mission to carry out. Skidding to a halt in the medicine cat den, Rivermist pulled out all the catmint she had and set it carefully on a small ledge where it was easily visible. Done with this, she stepped back for a moment to make sure nothing was out of order, than turned around and hurried out of camp, headed towards WindClan.
[Could you choose the medicine cat soon, Autumn? That way we can keep going. ... Soon as in, like, 3 or 4 days. No rush.]

Ooc|| Well, I said i'd give up to the 30th of January. If need be, I will put someone in the position for that piece of roleplay.
BiC|| Autumnstar blinked at Rivermist, listening to her intently. She knew that Rivermist meant well, ut her words were strong and sharp, she almost felt sorry for Bluepaw. She watched Rivermist silently before she gazed at Bluepaw. "Always trust the medicine cat," she warned him. She smild as she watched Rivermist go. "I need to call a Clan Meet, I will need you, Bluepaw, to tell the others where the rabbit is, can you do it?" she said softly. Without waiting for her reply she bounded out of her den and onto the HighRock where she yowled loudly.
