Silver scrambled out of the nursery behind her mother. She was confused by apprentices and mentors and how it all worked. But she watched intently at the other cats, admiring them and how they understood all this.

Blacklight stood at the head of the group wondering what could possibly be wrong. "If she will wait, I will announce the apprentices first." he said, looking to rivermist for an answer to his question. He would wait to tell the clan about the rogues, but he wanted to announce the apprentices before he could deal with the thunderclan medicine cat. His clan came first after all.

[glow=red,2,300]Rainstorm stood, waiting for Blackstar to speak. He had told her she was going to be a mentor. That meant he trusted her. It made the pretty blue she-cat want to leap for joy. Her green eyes shone with happiness for the first time in a very long time. She felt special, even... loved..[/glow]

Rivermist dipped her head. "Thank you, Blackstar." She hesitated for a moment. "May I wait in Winter's den while you conduct your meeting?" There was still no sign of the white she-cat, and Rivermist was puzzled - surely one of such great importance would be here for an apprentice ceremony. But Winter was erratic, and the former loner's doings were her own. She shouldn't pry, especially in another Clan's territory.

Blackstar dipped his head. "Yes, you may wait in her den." he said. His attention was spread throughout the clan and he looked about for those who would become mentors that day.

Nimblestep flicked his tail and gazed around at the ThunderClan Medicine Cat for a long moment. He narrowed his eyes for a moment, not out of spite or anger, but out of thoughtfulness. He twisted his ears and returned his attention back to Blackstar. He knew that he wouldn't get an apprentice as he was one of the older warriors, he had already trained many apprentices, it was time for the younger warriors to have their first apprentice. This didn't bother him, in fact he was quite pleased, now he would have more time to douse himself in his own thoughts. Flicking his silver flecked tail he smiled before returning his gaze on Blackstar.

Blackstar looked down at his warriors and prepared once again to start the clan meeting. "I have called you all here to announce that there are kits ready to become apprentices. Today, I will give them mentors and their new names." he called down the them. He couldn't wait any longer for the clan cats to arrive for the meeting. He needed to make the kits into apprentices quickly so that he could talk about the rogues.

Heathermist peeked out of the nursery, quieting her mewling kits. When she heard what the meeting was about, her mind flicked to the future, when her kits would be warriors. Then she thought of Winterkit. How would the shy, skittish kit ever be a warrior? Her kit's mewling grew louder, and she went back in the nursery to comfort them. This was one meeting she would have to miss. She would get Darkwater to tell her about it later.

Blackstar gazed at his clan and began the meeting, unable to wait any longer. "I have called this meeting, first and foremost, to name three new apprentices. Kestrelkit your mentor will be Rainstorm. You have adapted well to life in this clan Rainstorm, following the warrior code and doing all you can to help Riverclan. I want you to teach Kestrelpaw all that you have learned." he meowed. As he watched patiently for the pair to meet as mentor and apprentice for the first time, he looked around for the next pair.

Rainstorm was overly excited at the meeting of her first apprentice, she nearly fell over her own paws when she was going to go touch noses with the kit. She was so happy! Almost never had she felt so loved within or without the clans. It was quite a nice feeling. She liked it. As she touched her apprentice's nose with her own, she began to have her doubts about being a mentor. What was she supposed to do? It had seemed to be so long ago! She wondered if Kestrelkit knew she was getting a mentor with an.. interesting... past. Probably not. After all, she was only a kit. Right? Right. As she grinned at the newly-made apprentice, her thoughts wandered to the other apprentices. She wondered who were going to be their mentors. Maybe the others were Kestrelpaw's siblings! Well, maybe not. It depended, she supposed with an inward shrug.
At the moment she was pretty much fearing for her life. No, not really, but she was afraid. That feeling would probably stay for a pretty long time. She hoped Kestrelpaw would like her. She prayed to Starclan that she would. If she didn't, Rainstorm would be heartbroken. Again.

OCC= Wow. Can't belive I almost missed this!!
Kestrelkit, now Kestrelpaw was completely shook down with nerves. As she padded her way up swiftly to Rainstorm her long fur was almost standing on end. Her ears pricked forward she shook her pelt briskly before touching noses with her new mentor. She smiled up at Rainstorm, her big wide green eyes starring into hers. She couldn't belive it!!! She was an apprentice!! She had made it through kithood, barely!! She stood awkwardly shuffling her paws impatienly, she couldn't wait to get started. She knew Rainstorm was a true, brave and loyal warrior, she would teach her well.

Blackstar smiled down at the new apprentice and mentor. They both seemed to be very excited about this chance to prove themselves. They had touched noses already, and now it was time to announce the next pair. "The second apprentice that will gain his name is Icekit. Darkwater, you will be the mentor to Icepaw. With your experience and knowledge, I expect you to teach Icepaw everything you know. Show him his potential and help him develop his skills." he meowed, addressing Darkwater and Icepaw together.

Like always, a chill went down Darkwater's spine when his leader addressed him with such respect. He was positive he would not feel then same, trust him at all, if he knew that his father was teh evil Darkwind... But no matter! Darkwater stood to his paws and nodded. He padded of to Icepaw and touched his nose to her's. He remembered becoming an apprentice. He also remembered what had followed his ceremony...
-Closing his amber orbs, Darkwater twitched his audits towards teh camp entrance. He had sworn ever since to protect RiverCLan with his life, more now then ever since he had kits to protect as well! And a mate, who knew the truth.
Should he one day tell Icepaw the story of how he had ocme to the Clan> WOuld tehy ask? As dout engulfed the warrior, a calm seemed to overtake it. One that was so familiar, yet strange. Darkwater feelt as if a presence he knew was slose by. Raven! it had to be her! Raven was his mother, a StarClan neleving loner. And also his mother.

((uh... Fleabittengray, Icepaw's a tom, not a she-cat))
Icepaw jumped to his paws when he heard his name being called. He tried to calmly pad over to his new mentor, but he figured that it was impossible to contain his excitement. He touched noses with Darkwater, his whiskers quivering with happiness.
