Description:
A slim, wiry cat that's mostly white with black and brown spots, Flystar is an extremely pretty cat - to look at and to know. Her eyes are amber, with small green flecks through them. The main part of her body is a pure white, which dirties easily, then turns into a mottled sort of 'cape' that's black and brown near the end of her body, by her tail. Her tail is a smoke - colored black, with faint dusting's of silver. She has a black patch over her eye, which then turns to brown as you progress down towards her back. The other side of her head, by the right ear, is a light brown until it meets the black-brown, making a V in the middle of her forehead. Her coat is adapted for water, and is sleek and shiny from being well-fed and satisfied. Her ears are set upright in her head, are slightly rounded at the ends, and are quite large. Her long fur is interesting, as most RiverClan cats are short-haired. Her paws are large, like her ears, and make for good paddles when swimming against a strong current. Though small, Flydew makes for a commanding presence.Personality:
Stern and commanding, Flydew likes everything to be perfect, and not against the Warrior Code. She's rather vain, and takes great care with her appearance, keeping her pelt carefully groomed, even if it means licking off blood or grime from a Thunderpath. Though she acknowledges that Firestar was a great leader, she believes that he should not have come to the forest, since having a kittypet in a Clan is against the Warrior Code. She is disgusted with ThunderClan, because of all the kittypets they let in, though if someone challenged something wrong with her Clan she would defend her Clan mercilessly. Flyrdew is a great fighter and swimmer, but not so good when it comes to peaceful relations with other Clans. Because of this, she finds the Gathering rather taxing. She has great loyalty to her Clan, and every member in it, even if some may be half-Clan or a former loner. Her rule is, "If they're in my Clan then it can't be against the will of StarClan." An interesting rule, since she thinks that half-Clan cats and kittypets are wrong when their in another Clan, but all right when their in her Clan. She would defend her Clan with her life.History:
Other:Kit:
Born to Shadetree and Lionfoot of RiverClan, Flydew had two sisters but no brothers. Her two sisters died in leaf-bare, when especially cold weather descended upon the Clans, killing many and sparing few. Flydew was the only kit to survive in all of RiverClan.
Flydew - kit, then - was a curious little kit, always poking her nose into things she shouldn't be. Once she was nosing around and came upon the Medicine Cat's den. Flykit then began the steady process of sniffing and eating her way through the contents of the den. She ended up with a stomachache and a late (well, one moon) apprenticehood. Her parents were terrified, because the couldn't bear the idea of losing their last kit, and were the ones who demanded to have her wait an extra moon rather than be apprenticed at the regular 6 moons.Apprentice:
After waiting for 7 moons, Flykit finally became an apprentice. She was assigned Leafrip as her mentor, a kind and gentle warrior. Though she would have preferred a more ferocious warrior, she was just happy to have a 'paw' at the end of her name and to be able to finally start her training. She worked as hard as she could to make up for the time that she had lost, and was greatly admired by her Clan. It soon became obvious that she was a great fighter, and was in a battle with ShadowClan. She was told to go back by her mentor to get reinforcements, since the RiverClan patrol was heavily outnumbered , but she disobeyed, leading to the death of most of the patrol, including Leafrip. Flypaw was sure that this was her fault, and took an oath that she would never disobey the Warrior Code again. She was then assigned Willowtree as her mentor.Warrior:
Flypaw was given the second part of her warrior name, Dew, for the early morning dew that was often present in the mornings. Her vigil was quite eventful, as that night ShadowClan, still smarting over a small battle they had lost a long time ago, attacked. She raised the alarm and flung herself into battle with viciousness, wanting to avenge Leafrip's death which she did with great results. However, this battle was not without its toll as well. Willowtree was killed, and Flydew mourned her with the rest of the Clan. Though she kept it to herself, her one dream was to become leader of RiverClan and make her Clan the strongest - stronger even than ThunderClan. When the old deputy, Owlear, retired, she thought she had a pretty good chance of getting the deputy positon, but Ravenwing was chosen instead.Senior Warrior:
When Owlear retired and Ravenwing was chosen, Flydew was rather grumpy, due to the fact that she had wanted deputy position so badly. During this time, Flydew fell in love with a handsome warrior named Nightslit. Nightslit was in love with her as well, and they were going to have kits when Nightslit was killed by a toxic two-leg thing in RiverClan territory. She wandered around the camp in a daze, until Spottedstar threatened to demote her in rank. This brought her back to do her duty, but the incident served to heighten Flydew's anger against the two-leg's and everything they represented.... which included kittypets.
Though she has never found another cat to fill the empty space that Nightsplit left, she continues to search for the perfect cat, at the same time helping, in the warrior way, to take care of the Clan. Only one major battle occurred since Nightsplit died, and only 1 cat was lost during that battle. Though she hates Gatherings and anything to do with peace among the Clans, unless it is the will of StarClan, Flydew continues to be a loyal and respected warrior.
=D Just had to add this RP example...
This is taken from an event in Flydew's life. The event is when she disobeyed Leafrip in the battle with ShadowClan, resulting in many deaths.
"No!" Flypaw leaped forward and slashed a vicious slash across the face of a ShadowClan cat, who leaped away, wailing. "No!" she repeated again. "You need me here! I can't go!" Snarling, she swiped at an oncoming cat. Hearing Leafrip yell at her again, Flypaw hissed angrily. Why couldn't her mentor get that she couldn't go back to camp and leave them at the mercy of ShadowClan? She would rather die than turn tail and retreat. So she didn't answer Leafrip as she yelled again; instead, she attacked another cat - an apprentice, she thought, judging by his size. Yowling in triumph, she leaped upon him, digging in her claws and grabbing the scruff of his neck. She blinked in suprise as he twisted out of her grip. "Puny little apprentice," he hissed. "I'm no match for you." She blinked. He was a full grown warrior! She gasped as he went for her legs, aiming to knock her off her balance. "Oh no you won't!" she spat, twisting around to meet him. But he was ready for that too. Leaping up, she felt him land on her back, digging in his claws. "Get off me!" She twisted around, but couldn't dislodge the warrior. Suddenly, she heard a yowling and then the weight lifted off her. Looking up, she saw Leafrip battling with the tom. "Thanks," she gasped at her mentor, then dove back into the heaving mass of cats.
***
Dead silence. Not a thing moved. Flypaw opened her eyes, surveying the clearing. It was a wreck. Bushes, grass, dirt and cats lay scattered. Pushing herself to her feet, Flypaw was staggering over to the nearest cat when she heard someone calling her name. "Flypaw! Flypaw!" A warrior, Nightslit, dashed out of the bushes and towards her. "Your alive!" He began to lick her, making her unsteady. "Nightslit, stop that. She needs to get back to the Medicine Cat's den." Flypaw's eyes grew dim, and black swallowed her up like a great blanket.
When she woke, she was in a warm den, comfortably arranged in a soft nest of moss. "Where am I?" she asked. "Lay down," said a soft mew. The medicine cat came out of the shadows. "You've been wounded. Rest." "No! I have to go!" she began to writhe as she remembered the fight. "Leafrip! I have to help her!" "Hush," the medicine cat soothed. "You'll be fine. The battle's over." Flypaw calmed slightly, then began to worry again. "Where's Leafrip? Is she okay?" The medicine cat sighed softly, like someone who was hurting inside. "Leafrip didn't make it, Flypaw," she said gently. "What? But she had to have! Let me see her!" She began to try to scramble out of the nest, scattering moss everywhere. "Flypaw." The medicine cat's gentle voice halted her. "Leafrip was killed in the battle. She's dead."
