Her heart beat hard she thought it jump out of her throat. She padded fastly nervously. He was...a friend??? She wanted to believe that. Yet every time, every moment she see's him is with him she feels somthing. She stoped at the edge of the river where she siad to met him. The sun was going down behind the trees that moment.

Whitepaw had approached from behind her, over the ridge. His heart skipped a beat when he saw her, he had had dream that she hadn't shown up. "Jewelpaw," He called, barely able to get the words out of his mouth, his mouth fely cotton stuffed. Stop it! Your just being stupid she's just a friend! He berated himself.

She turned to see Whitepaw, who is him. Her heart bounced. " Hi." Her shyness hit her like a tree in her way. She wanted to talk to him but what if he he didn't like her. Why did she care if he liked her anyway.

Whitepaw's mind froze, "Hi." He mewed uncertainly. He glanced around furtively this was the first time the had met in the daylight and he could see the sun illumunating her eyes and pelt, he sat there transfixed before he realized he was staring. He jumped to his feet and padded over to her. Like friends do, he unconciosuly brushed his tail down her pelt, but immediately noticed when blood rushed to his head and his heart pounded. Calm down! He told himself, Friends, Friends, Just Friends. He repeated trying not to get trapped in her gaze.

Jewelpaw felt her pelt tingle as his tail went down her back. She let out purred. 'Just friend' she told herself trying not to feel guilty. " So what do you want to do??" she purred playfully. Shelooked around for somthing to do.

"Hrm..." He thought making a wierd noise. His ears perked, "I haven't see your territory yet." He suggested. Was ShadowClan as fierce as everyone said it was?

"Umm" she looked at him. Would she really have to expose him to the cold of ShadowClan.
"If you want , but if they find us were dead." She meowed, serouisly. She was putting her loyality on the line for him... 'him'. She smiled "But at least we will had an adventure." she purred her eye racing with glee..at least it was 'him'.

Whitepaw locked eyes with her. "I don't want to get you in trouble, I don't want to get either of us in trouble." He felt an overwhelming sense of attraction towards her. He kept trying to shake it away, but it clung to him. He knew that he liked her, how much was yet a mystery. And he couldn't ignore the fact that what they were doing was forbidden and against the warrior code, even just meeting as friends. He sighed to himself, he wanted to be a warrior but he wanted her to be with him. Finally he nodded. "Do you want to go?" He questioned.

Jewelpaw's eyes glittered with thought. 'Yes, I could get caught..but how likely is that?' She focused her eyes on Whitepaw, and met he eyes. She felt frozen stuck he's gaze her heart pounded 'Okay!!' She yowled at herself. 'I like him I really like , but he wouldn't like someone like me and we are in two different Clans!!' Tearing herself away " Yeah, lets go" She said finally, trying to ignore her feelings. She turned around and beckoned him to follow with her tail. Then sun's last light made their pelts glow softly.

Whitepaw nodded, and followed her steps tentaviley. He had to keep his thoughts off her and keep his head out of the clouds. He needed to stay alert so he could detect wether they were about to get caught or not. He shook his head, "Where too?" He murmured softly as the entered her territoy, he said as if the trees had ears.

'Where should I take him?' She asked herself . It had to be some where most ShadowClan cats don't go very often. 'Oh I know I'll take him to my favorite Willow tree that has all that high grass so no one will find us.' She decided. "How 'bout my favorite spot???" She asked, while trying to focus on her surroundings and not RiverClan tom she had just led into ShadowClan territory. But it wasn't working, she kept walking forward, sneaking glances at Whitepaw.

Whitepaw met one of her glances, her jeweled eyes boring into him, he could feel something in her gaze, and quickly looked the other way his skin growing hot, very hot. "Uh, yeah, that sounds good." He mewed quickly, disoriented.

She led on padding through some brush. The tree, giant and old and she loved its shelter. She made her way out of the bush and went closer to the tree. It reminded her of father when he'd bring her here. Memories flooded back to her 'Now Jewelkit you know shouldn't have climbed that high' Her father's loving voice sound. ' I know Daddy I just wanted to show you how good of climber I am.' Jewelpaw's kitten hood voice squeeked " Oh I know, you are so good! But we'll have to teach you how to climb back down' Her father said launching himself into the mighty Willow. Her maneuvered through the tree to her and softly picked her up by the scruff and started to carefully climbed down the tree. Her mind rushed to reality, where she was facing Whitepaw. She looked around " I know it's not as beautiful as the lake spot.... I just love it here." [/b Jewelpaw's soft voice said.

Whitepaw nodded, he could feel something just as beautiful here, something different, but beautiful all the same. He looked up at the branches overhead. "It's anciently beautiful..." He mewed slowly, convinced he made no sense and just making himself look stupid. "It's like a power here, flowing, like this tree has seen everything there is too see." He looked back at Jewelpaw and flushed embarrasedly, finding her watching him. He shuffled the ground with his paws, watching the dirt cloud up.

Jewelpaw purred inwardly. She felt an over come by him. Why finally after Finding someone she like some one who's nice to her, he has to be in a diffrent Clan. Her hopes went down the drain as the reailty set in. 'Even if they were in the same clan who says he likes me' She thought an aguish. 'I have to know!' She thought. Finally she open her mouth " W-whitepaw are we friends..... or are we more..." Her word broken up but she was pretty much sure he got the message.
