Swiftly two pairs of paws step toward Windclan territory. The first was a skinny black tom, most would consider to be quite a wimp but that was not true at all. Next came along his younger sister, Sunday the pretty black and white loner. Sunday looked up uncertainly at her brother. "Are you sure we should be here?" she asked uncertainly, but was quickly hushed by Dewey.
"Yes now be quite I smell a Windclan cat near by. Now see that bush over there? That is the boundary line and don't you dare cross it. Clan cats get very irritable when loners invade their territory. Now make sure they see you but do not appear hostile in any way. Show signs of submission toward them, they like that," Dewey whispered to instruct his younger sister as his bright green eyes scanned the area behind the bush.
Sunday sighed and nodded. She couldn't believe how mean these clan cats could get just by a few pawsteps over on their territory.
Dewey gave his younger sister a gentle lick between the ears and ran off.

A white tom with black stripes prowled through the grass, stalking a mouse. Featherflight smiled as he neared it without being noticed. He crouched down and waited to be sure that he would catch it before he pounced. He made the kill and then smiled again as he buried his catch. He raised his head again and tasted the wind to see if there was some prey nearby, instead of a prey scent though he caught the scent of another cat. His ears instantly went forward and he lowered his body closer to the ground as he creapt forward, eyes searching, nose and ears working, trying to pinpoint the cat's location. There she was. Not quite on their territory. He stood up, not wanting to be concealed any more. He just stood, waiting for the other to notice him, he wasn't going to shout over to her and chase her off since she wasn't on their territory.

It wasn't long before Sunday spotted the Windclan tom. He was quite a handsome cat and she would have liked just to sit and stare naively at him if it for him noticing her first. He didn't show any signs of hostility like Dewey had described but Sunday fallowed her instructions given by her older brother and cowered down submissively. She didn't think that this clan cat could ever harm another cat. For he seemed far to handsome to do that.

Featherflight smiled a little when he saw her cower. Sheesh, what's she doin' that for? Being one who did not like to see cats cower when they were on they're own ground, he trotted a little nearer. 'Hey, why are you cowering down like a mouse that just saw an owl fly overhead? You've no need to do that unless you're on clan territory.' He let a smile steal over his face. 'I'm not planning to attack a cat that's on its own ground.' he shook himself and licked his pelt before turning back to Sunday. 'Name's Featherflight.' he said casually. Giving out his name came easily for him, he didn't care who knew it.

Sunday lifted her head and smiled softly. All signs of submission were gone and instead she showed only looks a friendliness. She knew that the handsome tom could not be so mean as Dewey had warned her first. "I'm Sunday," she said eloquently, "Its a pleasure to make your acquaintance." She knew she had nothing to fear from this tom besides she was trained in the ways of the warriors why should she fear?

Featherflight thought the sudden change rather funny and he grinned broadly. 'What was that act about?' he asked amused. 'And what are you doing there?' He asked curiously, not threateningly, he was the curious sort and liked having his curiousity sated. He sat and watched Sunday with a smile still there. He curled his tail comfortably around his paws, he was clearly not afraid.

"I was told to act submissive before a clan cat sos not to rouse any anger against me. My brother told me that some are very bad tempered when it comes to protecting their clan and I really do not want to get on anyones bad side," Sunday nodded remembering what Dewey had told her. She acted more like a small naive kit then a full grown loner like she really was. She knew she seemed younger then how she really was so she decided that she would answer Featherflight's next question with a mature attitude. But how could she answer that question? Should she simply say I'm looking for a mate to adopt me into his clan were I can be protected? Of course not! Though it was against Sunday's convince to lie she figured a small one would save her. "I was just out to stretch my legs and keep in shape," She bluffed convincingly with a sort a mature voice.

Featherflight smiled. 'It is a nice place to stretch ones legs. And your brother's right, there's plenty of cats that would be quite fierce when it comes to their territory, myself included.' he grinned. 'Glad you didn't wander onto WindClan territory though, don't really want to have to chase you off.' He waited for a moment, he knew that he should be hunting right now, but he thought it was kind of fun to talk to someone knew, even though he was usually shy.

Sunday blushed. "I have no intention of intruding any were of course. I am quite content at my home with my three sisters and brother," she meowed spontaneously. Usually the fluffy black and white she-cat was shy around strangers. She often let Audrey her sister do all the talking while she would often put in a few comments of her own. But she found that Featherflight was so easy to talk to and she felt quite comfortable around him even though they just met.

Featherflight nodded. 'You'll have an easier time then.' He glanced around, wondering if there were any other loners about, but he couldn't see or scent any. He shrugged. 'You have a big family.' he commented with a smile. 'I an only kit, but I had the other kits in the nursery to play with at least.' he smiled as he remembered the games they had had. Now they were all grown up and didn't like just playing, there wasn't time anyways. A warrior had more to worry about than playing. He sighed, wishing once more that he wasn't a warrior. He didn't like fighting, didn't really understand it but if a cat attacked he would be ready. He shook his head to return himself to reality. 'Sorry, minds have a bad habit of just running away sometimes.' he smiled.

"Thats alright, Dewey's does that all the time," Sunday smiled, "Yes I do guess I have a big family. There is my older brother Dewey and then Audrey and I was after her then Hazel fallowed and Sparkles was born last. We all five live in an old badgers den as Dewey calls it. Of course its been abandoned for years. Its over in a field not to far from here." Sunday herself had never really thought about it but she did have a large family compared to some clan cats who were usually born in ones or twos. She felt lucky to be able to have such a large and close family. Sure they fought sometimes but nothing really serious ever happened.

Featherflight smiled. 'All of you live in one badger den? Wow, isn't that, well, cramped?' He looked at his paws, it sounded awful, five cats all stuffed in one badger den? He decided that it must be rather large. He looked back up at Sunday, looking at her quietly with his brown eye, which was his good eye. His blue one was to hazy to get a good look at something with. He wondered what it was like to have so many siblings, he had had friends in the nursery that were as good as siblings though. He comforted himself with that.

"Oh no its a very big den," Sunday said and then added, "Nice and warm in the winter to."Sunday could imagine life without her family. All of her siblings each had different personalities that made them special. "We all depend on each other, Most cats considere Dewey creepy but I can't see how they do. He is the best big brother that anyone could ever ask for, he left his clan just to take care of them. Audrey though she might be very smart alack is always making us laugh. Hazel is the shyest thing alive but always the gentlest. Sparkles is a real toot but always caring and kind when it comes to taking care of her family." Sunday couldn't help but boast. She was very glad that she had been given them.

Featherflight smiled as he heard Sunday told of her family. 'Sounds like you are all good friends.' he commented. His ears pricked up a little more when he heard that her brother had left a clan to take care of them. That sounded like an interesting story. 'Dewey, your brother, used to be part of a clan?' He put his head to the side. 'Which?' This had gotten his curiousity even more curious(that sounds weird xD). He watched Sunday and waited for her answer, maybe she didn't want to talk about it though. He shrugged, if she didn't want to talk about it then it wasn't his business he decided.

Sunday froze. She wasn't sure Dewey would want another clan cat to know he used to be in a clan. And she didn't mean to tell Featherflight that, but it had just acidentally slipped out. She already felt comfortable talking to the Windclan tom though and she was sure Featherflight would never use something like that against poor Dewey. "He used to be know as Blackheart," she said slowly, "After our mother, Anastasia, died he left Thunderclan and came to be with us, to take care of us, his little sisters, for we were so young at the time. He is really our half brother."
