Patchpaw blinked gratefully at the two cats. He smiled and looked at Brackentail. "Which clan is she... is she leader of?" he said softly, his brow furrowing in concentration and thought. His gaze hardened slightly. If she was so willing to give him up, he'd simply never join her Clan. All he wanted to know was the truth. "Who's the leader of ShadowClan?" he added after a seconds thought.

Brackentail shrugged, he didn't see any harm in telling him. 'She's leader of ThunderClan. Chaosstar is leader of ShadowClan.' he smiled. 'Do you know much about the clans?' he asked curiously. He had been surprised to find that he knew anything about the clans, but he was glad that he did, and he was glad that he had come. 'Nightstar is leader of RiverClan and Spottedstar is leader of WindClan, in case you wanted to know.' he decided to add.

"Not really," he confessed. "I only know a little bit about apprentices, mentors and warriors, nothing else," he said and smiled. He had noticed that the scent of ShadowClan had gotten stronger. They must have been near the camp-site. "Can you tell me more please?" he asked, looking at Coalpaw and then Brackentail.
[Let me guess, it's Crimson who plays Chaosstar? What will we dooooo?]

[{maybe we should say that ShadowClan doesn't have a leader and the deputy is in charge or something?}]
Brackentail smiled. 'Okay, the forest is made up of four clans, Shadow, Thunder, River, they actually go fishing and swim about in the water, and WindClans. Then there are rogues and loners, and they don't belong to any clan. Kits have 'kit' on the end of their names, so you would have been Patchkit, and then apprentices have 'paw' after their names. Warriors and deputies can have anything after them, but leaders have 'star'. There is a deputy and leader in every clan. Queens are she-cats that have kits are are going to have kits, they stay in the nursery then, and kits are cats that are under six months. At six months kits become apprentices and they are assigned a mentor. When they are ready they become warriors.' Brackentail went on, telling Patchpaw all he knew.

[Or you can roleplay Chaosstar for the time-being?]
Patchpaw blinked silently, amazed at all the stuff. Why did leaders have 'star' at the end of their name? He flicked his tail and listened intently, interested to hear more. He smiled and let a contented smile on his maw. "I thought there was another clan, Moon.. No... StarClan?" he said. "The cat told me about it," he said.

[{Uh, I guess I could. *shivers* I guess that's the only thing we can do though. I'll read the bio so that I can get a feel of him real quick. }] Brackentail rolled his eyes. ' Well if I didn't go and leave out the most important clan.' he growled to himself. ' Yes, StarClan is where we go when we die. You can see the cats of StarClan at night in Silverpelt. I'll have to show you.' he smiled. ' My mom is among them.' he said quietly but with a sad sigh. ' She died during an attack while we were on patrol. She was defending me. She was the only on that could get along with me, that could understand me. The other warriors don't care much for me.' He blinked as he realized that he was speaking his thoughts and he shook himself again. ' So, what else would you like to hear about?'

"So, there are a bunch of dead cats watching us?" he blurted out. He didn't mean it to come out so harsh. "I mean, there are cats in the sky, watching over us?" he said quickly, to cover up his earlier error. He flicked his ears slightly, not sure whether he belieed in StarClan. He liked the idea of cats' watching over them, but wasn't it a bit wierd?

Bracketail laughed out loud at Patchpaw's surprise. 'Yes, yes I guess you could say that. It often comforts me to think of my mum watching me.' he smiled as he glanced up at the sky, eyes half closed and blissful, remembering his mum and savoring the thought of her watching him.
Coalpaw smiled as Brackentail seemed to fall asleep. 'He's the biggest believer in StarClan I've ever seen.' he said softly. 'It is a strange idea to get used to isn't it though?' he grinned and watched Brackentail, truely beginning to wonder if he had fallen asleep.

Patchpaw watched Brackentail silently. He grinned at Coalpaw. "Yeah, it is. It must be comforting though. Even if you're family aren't alive, they are always there, in the sky. Forever watching..." he whispered. "It's quite nice actually," he added after a second thought.

Coalpaw smiled a little. 'I wouldn't know. I don't know if my family is up there or down here.' he grinned a little and looked back at Brackentail, who seemed to have come out of his reverie.
'Sometimes I just want to fall asleep, the thought of mum watching over me all the time is so soothing.' he sighed happily. 'So, would you like to come back to camp with us, or what would you like to do?' he put his head to the side, waiting for his reply.

"Neither do I," Patchpaw whispered, slightly comforted by Coalpaw. He smiled until Brackentail broke his thoughts. "Huh? Oh... Yeah... I think.." he began, looking at Coalpaw and Brackentail. "I think I want to come with you guys," he said softly, grinning.

Brackentail grinned and headed off towards camp, excited and exilerated. 'Let's go then!' he called happily. He was happy to have another addition to their camp, he wondered who would be appointed as Patchpaw's mentor. He wondered how the other ShadowClan cats would react to him.
Coalpaw was obviously pleased that Patchpaw decided to come with them, that would mean another apprentice friend! He fell in behind Brackentail, glancing over his shoulder to make sure Patchpaw was coming. He half expected him to disapate and disappear like cats in his dreams did, he was afraid this might be a dream. He frowned a little, hoping very hard that it wasn't.

Patchpaw bounded after the two, he wasn't used to walking so fast! His grin faded slightly and his mouth became dry. He was quite nervous. He washed his shoulder for a few seconds before carrying on. He watched worridly as shapes began to form. Cats, lot of them. He raised his head, he didn't want to show fear.
Lynxheart raised her broad head when she saw three cats, one of which she didn't know. The scent of kittypet clogged her nostrils. She growled, but kept quiet.

Brackentail ignored the stares of the other cats as he carried on towards the leaders den. He hoped that Patchpaw would be accepted, he hadn't worried about that until this moment, when the cats all reacted to the kittypet scent. He glanced towards the leaders den and caught sight of a cat sitting outside with Chaosstar. Featherfoot! That's where he ran off to. he hoped that Featherfoot hadn't said anything mouse-brained about Patchpaw, but he was glad that he wouldn't have to explain about the kittypet he had brought back with him.
Coalpaw saw Patchpaw's worried glances at the cats. 'Don't worry, they won't attack you.' he smiled and nudged him. 'Against the warriors code.' He smiled again and then noticed Featherfoot talking to Chaosstar. 'Looks like Featherfoot's introduced you to Chaosstar already.'
Cloudstripe, who had been sunning herself after her hunting duties, glanced up as she scented Patchpaw coming into the camp. She put her head to the side, wondering what was going on, but only smiled. She wasn't the type to make someone feel uncomfortable. She watched as the began to make their way to the leaders den.

"Yes..." Patchpaw squeaked with apprehension. He flicked his tail and tried to relax his shoulders which had bunched up. His muscles were knotted together so firmly that it took a second or two to release them. He looked at Chaosstar, not directly in the eyes, but as if he was looking through him. He padded slowly to where Featherfoot and Chaosstar was and dipped his head to the leader before glancing at Featherfoot and saying. "I'm sorry about earlier, my feelings got the better of me."
