Autumnstar slowly raised her head slowly, she knew that Laurelkit and Larchkit would need to be apprenticed today. She flicked her tail, withdrawing from her mossy nest. She twitched her tail, she'd already chosen their mentors. She stood up slowly and washed her pelt quickly, washing the debris away.
"Can all cat's old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the High Rock for a meeting," she yowled out.

[{Do you think you could have Mistpaw's warrior ceremony soon?}]
Specklestripe padded silently to High Rock, looking around and wondering what the meeting was for. Maybe an apprentice ceremony? He shrugged as he sat down and looked up at Autumnstar. I'll find out soon enough. he thought to himself with a small smile. His short tail twitched as he waited for everyone else to get there.
Mistpaw's small gray form slipped towards the rock. He seated himself quietly near the back as he tried to blink the sleep away from his eyes. He had been catching a few winks after his long day of hunting, he had quite tired himself out from it all. He was glad to have gotten some sleep though, he felt refreshed and ready now. He watched Autumnstar respectfully, he admired her immensely, she was big and she was good at being a leader. He was shy, and didn't think he would ever be able to rise to the responsibilities of being a leader.

[I'll do it now if you want. I am right in assuming that Specklestripe has no apprentice? I won't give you Mistpaw, but maybe Larchkit... I'll wait for more people to post before posting again...]

A brown figure slid up near the highrock. Dustfang looked up at his leader expectantly as he waited to hear her news. His tail twitched and he licked his paw casually, though his eyes were brimming with excitement.

Darkfang emererged from the camp entrance when he heard Autumnstar call the clan to a meeting. He sat near the highrock and gazed up at his leader his dark brown eyes full of coriousity. He wondered what the meeting would be about.

[[Thankies, Nimbley... btw I'm also RPing Lilydew, their mother, just for this ceremony to get them prepared, etc.]]
Laurelkit bounced out of the Nursery, her eyes bright and shining, her tail tip held straight in the air. Today she was going to be an apprentice! No longer would she have the 'kit' at the end of her name, marking her as a young one to weak to defend herself, now she would have a 'paw'! Way too excited, Laurelkit began to bounce around in circles while her mother tried to wash her. "Come on, Larchkit!" Laurelkit had caught sight of her elusive younger sister, lurking half hidden in the entrance to the Nursery. Squirming out of her mother's grasp, Laurelkit hurried over to her sister. "Come on!" she repeated again. "Arn't you excited? We finally get to become apprentices! We get to train! We get to go to Gatherings." the last word was said in a kind of reverance; Laurelkit could not imagine what a meeting with all the Clans could be like. "Don't worry," she said, her tone softening to something with a little less energy. "It will be okay." she smiled reassuringly at her sibling, then turned and bounced back out of the shadows to the front of the small group that had gathered. Sitting down, she puffed out her chest, curled her tail around her paws, and tried to look proud, quiet, and the obediant young kit. Her eyes, however, remained glittering with excitement, and her whole body twitched every so often, revealing even more of her excitement.
Larchkit sighed. It was never any good to try and reason with her sister. Laurelkit might be excited- no- enthusiastic- about the upcoming apprentice ceremony, but Larchkit was hesitant. No more chasing butterflies in the afternoon sun, watched by the queens and several lazy elders. No more curling up in the cold nights before leaf-bare, listening to their mother tell stories about the Clans when they lived long ago. No more doing whatever they wanted. Standing in the shadows, Larchkit repressed the urge to cry out in grief at the passing of kit-hood. Her mother, as if sensing her trauma, gently pulled her close, wrapping her tail around Larchkit's small body. "I'll still always be here when you need me," she purred, flattening Larchkit's ears to the top of her head with long strokes. "Now go and join Laurelkit." Lilydew gently pushed Larchkit from her, out of the shadows and towrads the gathered cats. Larchkit closed her eyes, flattened her ears, dug her feet in, and absolutely refused to move. Lilydew sighed. "Larchkit, you need to go. Autumnstar is waiting." Slowly, and with an effort, Larchkit began to move, first one paw, then another, in slow, halting steps. She made her way through the throng of cats, then sat next to her sister, moving back so she could hardly be seen, her whole body shivering as if she had green-cough. Lilydew sighed again. Never had she seen a kit so terrified of apprenticeship. Well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see, she thought, and headed out to sit down in the circle of cats.

Smallkit appeared from inside the nursery, blinking in the strong sunlight. He dragged himself out of the nursery, giving a smile of good luck to the two apprentices-to-be. The kit couldn't help feeling a stab of jealousy. He was almost old enough. He would be very soon, within half a moon. But Smallkit had a sense of dread buried in the pit of his stomach. What if Autumnstar held his ceremony late as a punishment for stumbling in the gathering? Would he ever attend a gathering again? The tiny tom remained seated just outside the nursery, vainly attempting to push these questions out of his mind.
[ooc; I only just realized that he should have his ceremony soon XD. It seems like I made him yesterday.]

"We gather here today to welcome four new apprentices into our ranks," she began formally. "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this kit. She would like to become a warrior of ThunderClan, but must first become an apprentice. Larchkit, from this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Larchpaw," she meowed. "Specklestripe has proved himself as a great warrior, he will mentor you," she added as a after-thought. The quiet tom would be great for the shy apprentice.
{I'll hold 'em all together. I need to find some mentors though! ^^}

Specklestripe's eyes widened as he heard his name called out to be the mentor of Larchpaw. He got to his paws and walked over to Larchkit, his small body slipping through the cats easily. When he got to her he smiled and bent forward to touch noses. He didn't have to bend far down, which was rather funny, but he took no notice of it. He was glad to be a mentor, his only hope was that he wouldn't mess anything up or teach her something wrong.

Darkclaw smiled, but only a little as Specklestripe walked forward to get his new apprentice. Larchpaw would be well taken care of. He of corse did not at all envy Specklestripe. The tom wasn't interested in getting a new apprentice. He was always busy, to busy to train an apprentice at least. And he wasn't quite over his old apprentice's death yet. He was sure that the grey tom would not let the clan down in his training tecneces. Of all of the Thunderclan cats, Specklestripe was the closest one to a friend. And ever since Blackheart had left, Darkclaw, though he never would admit it, was a bit lonely.

raindance sat near the back of the crowd. She looked up at her leader, wondering when she would get her apprentice. She wanted one badly, but she wanted them to go to the more expereenced warriors first. "Looks like I won't be getting one any time soon!" she sighed.

Dewdrop walked out of the warriors den and sat down by her friend Runningwater. She watched as Larchkit became larchpaw. She thought about how she would train her apprentice when she got one. She couldn't wait!
