Lillypaw's paws skimmed across the ground. In her mouth she carried a clump of watermint. She'd been overjoyed to discover the useful herb in a muddy section of ground near the river. But then, all herbs were useful in some way. Lillypaw loved to explore new areas of Windclan territory, finding clumps of familiar herbs. She'd learned how to recognize different herbs before she'd even become a medicine cat apprentice - most of her kit hood had been spent in Snowshoe's den.
Lillypaw stopped for a moment, tasting the air. A water vole was nearby. She placed the Watermint gently on the ground and crept towards the prey scent. She soon spotted the vole and pounced squarely on its shoulders. The apprentice trotted back to her Watermint, dropping the vole beside the pile. As she began the bury her prey, she wondered if it was possible to bury herbs like prey. She'd have to ask Snowshoe when she got back to camp.

"Hey. . ." A young, feminin voice came from the bushes in a mildly offended tone, "You got my mouse!"
The branches of a nearby bush shook slightly, the hiss of the leaves clattering together light and barely heard. Then, pushing her way through the large, wet clump of grass seperating the bush from Lillypaw, a fluffy kitten appeared. Her black muzzle was wet, as was the top layer of the rest of her pelt as a result of her travels through the early morning dew. Her black ears flicked once, as if irritated but her blue eyes were bright and friendly as she approched the other she-cat that was around her age. The loner seemed to be a saimese, or of some sort of siamese decent. Her paws nearly up to her kneese were black, as was the end of her tail, a little more than just the tip, while the rest of her pelt was a creamy white apart from her earlier stated ears and muzzle.
"But that's okay, my name's Halo! What's yours?" Her voice was innosent and completly unafriad, not knowing that she could be hurt for tresspassing on the territory of this clan.

The apprentice took a step back at the appearance of the non-Windclanner, but relaxed when the cat came into view. It was a loner, but not at all a vicious one. In fact, Lillypaw guessed that they were the same age. "My name's Lillypaw", she meowed in answer to Halo's question. "I'm a medicine cat apprentice", she added with a hint of pride in her voice.

Halo took a seat carefully, tilting her head at Lillypaw's statement and pricking her ears, "A medicine cat apprentice?" She echoed, "What's that? Does it mean you know what kind of plant does what if you eat it?" She purred in amusment, grinning, "I know what eating too much grass does!"

Lillypaw laughed. "A little bit", she said. "I'm in training to be a medicine cat, who heal the cats of the clan. We learn how to recognize different herbs and what they do. The resources are applied using different methods and stored in the medicine cat's den. This is watermint", Lillypaw explained while gesturing to the water mint behind her. "It's found in moist ground. When fed to a cat, it cures bellyache." The apprentice hadn't mentioned contact with Starclan. She doubted that Halo would understand what she was talking about.

Halo, apparently only understood half of what Lillypaw said anyhow. With or without Starclan. But her eyes widened in wonder at her last statement about the watermint and she gazed at it curiously, "Really? That's cool! Can I help?"
Halo really hadn't been around any cat in the last few moons, and needless to say she'd been lonley. Life wasn't easy for a kit on her own, especially one who hadn't been trained. She had had the oppertunity to be trained. . .but Halo had always had a since of what was right. And she was no murderer, and never would be. Despite who her parents had been. Even if that meant living life alone.

"Help?" Lillypaw echoed. "No, not really. I only became an apprentice about a moon ago, so I don't know Windclan territory all that well. I'm just giving myself a guided tour, I suppose." She smiled. "Never know; I might come across a new patch of marigold or something like that. Doesn't hurt to keep your eyes open and find something new."
