Autumnstar flicked her tail and raised her chin proudly. She was the first at the Fourtrees. Around her flanked her warriors and apprentices, she needed to talk first. "This will be a good experience for you all, whether it be your first time, or tenth," she said softly. "I want you all to learn something from this Gathering," she added.
Slowly and silently she made her way forward and twitched her tail, which was a customary sign for her clan to swarm down. She raised her chin and walked down after her Clan.

At the same time, another group of cats were heading towards Fourtrees. They were thin, swift warriors, known for their speed and skills. They carried the scent of the open moor. At their head, a bengal she-cat; making her way carefully down a route she knew so well. Before long the patrol reached their destination. The leader signaled with her tail for her warriors to stop.
"We have no secrets to hide from other clans tonight", Spottedstar meowed. "You can tell them whatever you wish." She flicked her tail for Windclan to enter the clearing.

~TC~ Specklestripe trotted proudly behind his leader. Yes, it was true, he was proud to be a ThunderClanner, and tonight he wasn’t going to let the fear of seeing his sister dampen that pride. He knew that he would see her, he had found out last time that she had gotten a medicine cat position in WindClan. It figured, she always had had a knack with herbs and plants, and she was a good kind of cat, liking to be on the sidelines rather than fight, though he knew that she was a great fighter. His short tan pelt was dotted with dark spots in a stripe all the way from his nose to the tip of his short tail.
~WC~ Brownpaw, a brown tom, twitched his whiskers and walked along with the other WindClanners. He was excited for this was his first Gathering. But he was also nervous, for being blind made it hard on him at times, especially since no one knew and he was wanting to keep it that way. He grinned nonetheless and walked eagerly along with the other cats. He had learned how to use his nose, whiskers, and ears to tell where other cats were and who they were and so he did pretty well most of the time.
Snowshoe walked silently with the others. Honestly, she was dreading seeing her brother at the Gathering. She had noticed that he had been at the last few, and so guessed that he was a good warrior there. She wasn’t surprised at the fact, for she had already known that he was a born fighter. She hung close to the rear of the group, head down and watching her thick paws as she worried. She flicked her tufted ears and then her white coat that was spotted like a leopard’s. Her short tail hung low and she let out an aggrieved sigh.
~RC~ Nightstar’s white form appeared leading a group of RiverClanners. His white pelt shone beautifully in the moonlight, but made his, black tail, and grey paws and spot stand out even more than they would have in the sunlight. His grey eyes glanced around, for he was his usual protective and suspicious self. He glanced over his shoulder to make sure his clan was doing alright as his body swung along at a steady pace towards Four Trees.

Birchfur appeared by Brownpaw's side. He glanced around quickly to make sure that no other cat would hear what he was about to say before bending down to Brownpaw's height. "I'm sure that you're nervous", he breathed softly into his apprentice's ear, "But I'll stay with you, okay? So if you need my help, I'll be right beside you." Birchfur drew his head back up, double checking that nobody had overheard. - - - - A small white apprentice trotted excitedly at the front of the group. Gone were the days where she'd always been nervous and shy at everything new. She was a medicine cat apprentice now, with a special place in Windclan. Pride swelled out of her heart and through-out her body. This was her second gathering, and one that she was looking forward to. As Spottedstar gave the signal to enter Fourtrees, she found herself glued to the spot. Instead of dashing down into the clearing, Lillypaw turned back around. Snowshoe was at the back of the crowd, looking quite miserable, in the apprentice's opinion. The young she-cat padded swiftly over to the medicine cat. "Snowshoe?" she meowed hesitantly. This was the cat that had always been like a mother to Lillypaw, after her own mother had died from the stress of looking after her kit after birth. "Snowshoe, is something wrong?"

Snowshoe jumped, for she hadn't noticed Lillypaw approach. She glanced around and sighed. 'I'm fine Lillypaw, I just...' She hesitated for a moment. 'Maybe I'll tell you about it sometime, but right now let's have a good time at the Gathering.' She forced up a smile and tried to look happier, look like she was enjoying this. She picked up her pace a little and entered Four Trees, smiling at Lillypaw. 'So this is your second Gathering, I bet you're excited aren't you?' She chatted, keeping her eyes on her apprentice and not glancing around, for she knew if she did she would become nervous again.

It's always good to be fashionably late... Dankstar's mouth twitched as the words that his sister had once said entered his mind. He stood with his Clan, hidden in the shadows, staring impassively down at the milling cats below. "Remember," he said softly, his voice carried by the wind, "To uphold the truce. Apprentice's, make sure you do not slip too much... a little will be accepted, because we have almost no secrets... come." ShadowClan flowed down the sides of the hollow like liquid shadows; slender shapes weaving their way through shadow and moonlight. Dankstar made his way directly to where the other leader's stood; he leaped upon the rock with them, and the temperature seemed to drop another few degrees as he inclined his head slightly to the other leaders. "Nightstar... Spottedstar... Autumnstar. A pleasure, as always." a faint smirk crossed his face, and he turned as he surveyed the cats below. "Are we ready to begin?" he asked them, not looking at them.

Autumnstar inclined her head at Dankstar and then slowly to the others. She observed the Clans quietly, not taking much notice. "We should let them talk for a while first," Autumnstar said. Her voice was a gentle rasp, she had recently developed a cold, but nothing more.
Her cold eyes surveyed the crowd as she saw the clans merge. It was a strange thing to see cats who had previously battled, talk as if they were friends. Her gaze swept over again, searching for another set of green eyes, but none were to be found. No Patchpaw. A sigh of relief flared from her nostrils slowly, making almost no sound.
"How is the prey running?" Autumnstar asked the leaders. it was a fairly general question, she wanted to make small talk until it was time.

Nightstar nodded respectfully to Autumnstar as she approached, as he had done to the other leaders. ‘The prey is running well in RiverClan, how goes it in ThunderClan?’ He spoke formally, not exactly show any friendliness but not showing himself to be hostile either. He didn’t think that it would be a good idea to show himself to be friendly with any leader, for fear the other clans may think that they had an allegiance and therefore something happen to threaten his clan. His clan. That always seemed to be on his mind now, ever since he became leader he was obsessed with his clan, which though it was a good thing that he cared about his clan, it made him a little unreasonable at times.

Dankstar didn't turn around as Autumnstar and Nightstar began to speak. The only sign he was listening to them was his tail, which was twitching slightly. "ShadowClan is fine, thank you." he said softly, tail still flicking slightly. He had said this after Autumnstar had replied to Nightstar's question, and still did not turn around.

Spottedstar hadn't spoken at all during this polite conversation. Instead, her gaze remained fixed on the rock beneath her paws; her eyes worried and anxious. When all the other had spoken, she let out a deep sigh. "All is fine within Windclan's boundaries", she meowed, "But no outside them. A few days ago, while I was on patrol at the edge of Windclan territory, I met a loner. When I asked her what she was doing, she, at first; gave me a story about her not seeing her brothers since they'd gone hunting the previous morning. But then I got the truth out of her."
The Windclan leader looked up, her eyes resting on Nightstar, Dankstar and Autumnstar in turn. "There is a group of rouges", she meowed, "Working together. They plan to destroy us gradually. Kill the weak... steal our kits... attack the ones alone. That's what they did to Icestorm a moon ago." Spottedstar paused, letting her words sink in. "I won't mention it at this gathering", she meowed, "But you'd better warn your clans when you're back at home."

Still Dankstar didn't turn around; instead, his tail started to twitch faster and his ears pricked, each signs he was listening intently. "I am afraid I will have to disagree," he said softly once Spottedstar had finished speaking. Turning around finally, he eyed the other leaders. His 'r' in 'disagree' had rolled a bit, indicating he was slightly worried, or another of those emotions. "We should tell them here. It would be easier, and then they would tell their Clanmates- news like this is sure to go around- and we would just have to call a meeting without explaining the issue. It will also put the Clans on their gaurd sooner then later." finished speaking, he fell silent to allow the other leaders to comment.

Autumnstar's ears flicked with apprehension but her posture and facial features remained calm and relaxed. She gazed around slowly at the clans, letting her cool gaze wash over them. She looked at Nightstar at inclined her head. "Prey is well with in our lands, thank you," she said before listening to Spottedstar. Rogues in the lands? She sighed. Her hard gaze softened, it was just as StarClan had said. She shook her head. "We know of the threat, but to announce it now would be hard, they might panic and cause unecessary chaos, but to go un-warned would be like leading a blind mice to a hungry cat," she said simply. "I think we should tell them back at our base, if we are attacked on the way back, our warriors should be trained enough to protect themselves," she added.

Nightstar narrowed his eyes slightly, why did there always have to be disagreements? Why couldn’t everyone just get along? He always liked things to be perfect, and though he would start arguments he would also get irritated with others who argued. He looked thoughtful, not sure if he wanted to say anything, not sure if he wanted to risk ‘taking sides’ but he finally spoke up. ‘I agree with Autumnstar and Spottedstar. I think that we should just tell our cats when we get home. Otherwise there might be undue stress on the trip back to our camps and worry here that our camps may be under attack or whatever.’ He frowned, feeling a small wave of sorry washing over him even then that there might be rogues in his clan’s territory at that moment.

"But, what if the rogues are already in our territories?" Autumnstar meowed slowly. "We could get ambushed," she added slowly. There was no fear in her eyes or voice, but she was curious as to what the others would say. Her thick fur bristled against the wind as it buffered against her skin. She sighed and shook her pelt quickly before sitting down once more.

Nightstar shook his pelt. ‘If we keep our wits about us I think that we’d be fine. RiverClan is always cautious and so it wouldn’t be a problem for us.’ He spoke the last sentence with something close to pride. Once he made a decision about something he would stick to it no matter what, and he had made his mind up about this. He didn’t want the clans to know of this until he could tell them in the safety of his own camp. But is it safe now? He questioned himself. He shook his head and frowned, almost as irritated with himself as he might have been with another cat that questioned him. He glanced at the other leaders, wondering what they’re reply would be.
