A small beautiful snow white shecat floated in through the old blackened door. Her pupil less amber eyes shone around the room though it was impossible to tell where the orbs were looking. Her increadibly white pelt stood greatly against the ash black burnt wreckage of the house. Minx yawned. She was tired from her travel from the mountain. She had come a long way, but this place area seemed like her best opttion. This burnt down to-leg nest would be some sort of a home for her.
She glided in through another door which was now just a pile of embers. She looked over and saw a two-leg bed. It was black and covered in ash and dust but it was something. She made her way across the crisp carpet. Even though it still light outside and a lot of light was coming in through the broken, ruined roof, it still looked as if a huge shadow had engulfed the house and made it pitch black. Minx jumped up onto the bed. It was stiff but still pretty comfortable. She went to settle but something caught her eye. A thing was starring at her with huge, black, unblinking, shiny eyes. It was burnt aswell just like the rest of the furniture. She approched. It had the sent if a two-leg kit. Minx was only a tail lenght away now. She was confused. The thing was about her size. It wasn't alive but it looked as it was supposed to be. It looked like a tiny bear. Though it wasn't a bear. It wasn't real. It was a toy. Minx settled on the duvet. She extended her white prick like claws and starred at the teddy bear's eyes. She and it were locked in a gaze. Who would give up first??

Another white she-cat was woken from her sleep as an unfamiliar scent hit her nostrils. Sorrow? she thought sleepily, lifting her head. No, that wasn't the scent of her friend - it was different, more wild than Sorrow's scent that came from the trees. Slowly, the snow-coloured loner made her way through the open black door. Her gaze flickered over to where ashes lay on the floor in the centre of the room. That cat will see my white fur almost immediately, the loner thought to herself. Her grey eyes told her that no one else was in the room, so she silently rolled in the ashes, turning her white coat into a lifeless dark grey.
Opening her jaws again, the loner traced the other cat scent into the former children's bedroom. There was the cat... staring at a teddy bear as if it was an enemy. The she-cat held back a chuckle and sat down to watch.

As Minx lay on the crusted, burnt bed and starred at the bear, she thought she sented another cat. Even if this was so she didn't want to lose to the thing. No way! So she continued to stare. As she starred she thought she would try to sent out some info about this cat. She was female, pretty young and she smelt like a loner but there was a hint of house cat there. Minx knew how to look after herself so she was not worried about fighting the shecat, but if worst came to worst she would. If the cat would have her she would stay.
After a mintue Minx decided to give up her starring competion and see who the cat was. Emitting a low growl from the back of her throat she stood up and tuned round to face the shecat. "Hello?"

"Hi", the loner meowed in reply. "By the Way, you might as well not bother staring at that." She flicked her tail in the direction of the teddy bear, "It's eyes aren't real. Two-legs made them out of some sort of glass. I'm the only living creature here, with the exception of the mice who scurry around the nest." The she-cat paused. Snowfall is my name. Much as she wanted to, she didn't say the words out loud - she didn't know whether she could trust this cat yet.

Minx paused. She glanced over a the thing with eyes made of glass in wonder. "How strange, why?" Minx looked back at the she cat with ash on her pelt. She didn't look like a threat, she was friendy looking if anything. Minx let out a purr of amusment at the thought of the fact that she had been staring at something that wasn't alive!

Snowfall shrugged. "Why do two-legs do anything? They're all mad. I haven't seen one in ages though. None ever come here. You have to go back where there's Thunderpaths." She paused, eying the other loner thoughtfully. "So, what are you doing here?"

Minx gazed at the cat. Sadness filled her pupiless amber eyes. "Thats a long story," She sighed" But lets just say i'm trying to find a new home." She suffled her paws anxiously. Bowing her head down she gave a silent cry then looked back up to see the other loner. "My name is Minx, whats yours?" She tried to lighten the mood a bit.

Snowfall's eyes narrowed. A new home? she echoed in her head. Well, the last place that you're going to settle is here. She eyed the other she-cat as she spoke her name, Minx. The white loner looked at Minx for a few more heart-beats before answering. "Snowfall", she meowed quietly. Hopefully she hadn't sounded to hesitant to give Minx this personal piece of information.

Minx saw her eyeing her and realized she may have been forward. Minx's own pupiless eyes looked at Snowfall. She purred a small laugh. "I'll take it your not always covered in ash. Though in this place you may as well be." She looked around. It really was horrafiying. Who would want to live here? "Do you know of anywhere else to stay?" She wanted to go somewhere nicer than here." Somewhere permenant." The thought of that scared her. A permenant place to stay beside the mountains. She could never go back there.

Sighing, Snowfall stood up and shook the ash off her fur. Her pelt now glowed in the dim room like freshly fallen snow. "You see why I covered myself in ash now?" she purred in amusement. Settling herself down down, she started to think. "You know what the clans are?" she meowed. "They're four different groups of cats that live together and look after each other. If you don't want to be part of them, you've got to make sure that you don't cross any scent markers... that marks their borders. They'll chase you off if you enter. So you'll have to go around they're territory and look for somewhere to stay. That's all the advice I can give you, I'm afraid."

Minx laughed when she saw Snowfall's white pelt. That was an explanation. A confused look crossed Minx's small round face. Clans that look after each other? It reminded her of her old family in the mountains though there was not very many of them. Just her parents and brothers and sisters. "Oh. I'm guessing they are not to everyones liking saying that you are here." It was sort of a question but sort of a statment. She was interested about these clans. She may join if she could but she liked being in a two or a three not big numbers.
