Goldenkit lost (Open to Dark+Heather)

Goldenkit mewed helplessly as she stumbled through the woods. She had woken up in the middle of a big forest, and she knew that something must had happened because she didn't remember where she came from for a strange reason. The tall trees that loomed over her menacingly was not helpful. Would she starve out here? Or would somebody find her? what ever would happen, Goldenkit was desparate to find somewhere warm and dry where she could stay.

A gray tom with kind amber eyes padded towards his other two mice with a fish in his jaws. He was having a good hunt for Leaf-fall! As he dropped the fish, a new scent came to his scent glads. Widning his jaws, he sceanted...kit? But not of RiverClan! Where had it come from? He slowly made his way over to the poor thing and gasped. He looked aroumd, scenting for another cat. Maybe its mother was just passing through? But he smelled no one else. He looked down at the kit. His mate, Heathermist had had kits, but one , Ashkit, had died. So she had exra milk. Maybe she could care for it?

Goldenkit wasn't sure what to do. Here she was, faced with a tom. A big one, that towered over her. He was a good hunter too, by the smell of things. She smelt the sweet scent of mice, and also fish, which she had never tried before. Even so, the fish did smell tempting, but Goldenkit was far too scared to snatch it from him. His amber eyes blazed, but not in a challenging way. Goldenkit now felt she could trust him. Young and imature, she blurted out,
"I'm hungry. Can I have some milk?" she squeaked hopefully, watching the tom closely for his reaction. Thinking about her words, she realised that they might not have been that mouse-brained to say. Who ever he was, she must eat!

Darkwater's heart reached out to the littel kit. She could halp replace Ashkit a bit. But he would still be saddened by the dead kit. He grasped GOldenkit's scruff in his teeth and went towards his fresh kill pile. he dropped the kit down next tro a vole.

Goldenkit felt so grateful that she was speachless. She snapped hungrily at the vole, but she couldn't finish it as for her, a vole was a big meal. She licked her paw and drew it over her head contentedly. After her brief wash, Goldenkit was able to mew,
"Thanks. Who are you? you don't smell....." Goldenkit paused to let his scent flow into her scent glands. "Like me," she finished.

Darkwater smiled and licked the kit. The poor thing! I am Darkwater. And I waas hoping you would come back with me to RIverClan. Heathermist could nurse you. She has extra milk... His eyes swam with sadness

"Wow!" Goldenkit mewed excitedly. "My name is Goldenkit!" Imagine being in RiverClan! But then she saw Darkwater's expression. "Oh......" Goldenkit mumbled. "What's......what's the matter?"

Darkwater sighed and smiled. This kit was cool! Hopefully Foxkit didn't try to control her. We lost a kit as soon as he was born. Ashkit.

"Oh......" Goldenkit mewed quietly. She didn't really want to go to a Clan where the kits died. But maybe that was just an accident. Perhaps it didn't happen all the time. Goldenkit certainly hoped so. She didn't want this to happen again, she didn't want to die like little Ashkit that Darkwater had spoken of. But somehow she would protect herself, at least she would try to. "Can we go to RiverClan now?" She asked eagerly.

Yes, we can go now. The tom picked up the kit by the scruff and walked gingerly back to camp, his kill forgotten. He could always go back later to get it!

ooc//ok me and heatermist are going to start a thread in the nursery. as sson as we get started when darkwater comes in you can post as goldenkit there. sound ok?
