Spottedstar's tone was smooth as she meowed, "Like I said, my warriors have only taken part in one fight this past moon. But there were a lot of loners." Her gaze swept over Nightstar, then quickly at Autumnstar. Amber eyes narrowed as they rested on the Shadowclan leader. He seems friendlier to Nightstar than anyone else, she thought, grunting slightly. Does he think that she-cats can't lead their clans? The Windclan cat would have liked to show Dankstar how wrong he was, but in front of all these other cats - at a gathering, of all things - was an impossibility. Spottedstar closed the door on the fierce part of her spirit, waiting for a response from the other leaders.

~TC~ Blupaw nodded. "Yes, I feel much better! Thanks to the best medicine apprentice in ThunderClan" he smiled and touched her with his tail.
Graytail looked at the two and wandered over. "Greeetings!" she meowed as she licked her gray chest.

"We have not spotted any rouges in ShadowClan territory," he said, dipping his head slightly. "Thank goodness. But we cannot assume they will not come. Each of us should warn our Clan when we return." there was an anxiousness in Dankstar's voice that was thinly covered by indifference; Dankstar really did worry that his Clan would be hurt by this new, possible threat. "What do you think?" he looked at the other leaders, eyes challenging, once again hiding the worry behind a mask.

Nightstar chuckled at the ShadowClan leader's suggestion, thinking it was unnecessary to suggest, surely all of the leaders were going to do that anyways, if they hadn't already. 'My clan is already on the alert.' A shadow of a smile flicked across his face for a fraction of a second. 'For anyone who might intrude and cause trouble.' Indeed, he was a cautious cat, never taking a chance if at all possible to avoid it. His cautious nature flowed out of him into his leadership, and so he was always sure to have plenty of cats on patrols or a good strong cat or two gaurding the camp. In short, he very rarely took chances.

Windfleet watched as the leaders shared their news with each other. Dankstar, she noticed, wasn't all that respectful to the other Clan leaders... realizing she still had her tail over Blacklight's mouth, she quickly removed it. "Sorry," she hissed at him. "...rouges." Rouges? suddenly Windfleet was alert, her ears pricked high for anymore news of the intruders. Apparantly rouges had been spotted in RiverClan territory... she listened as Dankstar spoke. To her surprise, she heard the tremors of worry behind his smooth, accent-colored voice... Perhaps Dankstar did have a heart after all.

Autumnstar curled her lip slightly. She shook her pelt with annoyance and let her cold gaze lock onto Dankstar. "Warn your clan, but if the rogues come... I doubt it'll make any difference," she said, her voice passive, with no emotion. "And with them, there will be slaughter," she added. Her gaze flickered across the clans. She had no idea what to say or suggest. She twitched her tail and looked again at Spottedstar, Nightstar and last of all, Dankstar. "We will need to aid eachother if the rogues do attack," she said, there was a hint of sadness in her voice.

Nightstar stiffened at Autumnstar's suggestion. Help? From the other clans? Ha! A smirk threatened to cross his face. 'Will we now huh? Do you mean ThunderClan will need help?' He stared at her, he didn't like the idea of joining and helping other clans, clans were they're own, not supposed to be joined together. He thought of his clan, they were strong but what if... he shook the thought away. He still didn't like the idea of joining together but if it was for his clan's sake, maybe, just maybe. His eyes softened only slightly from the hardness that had entered them eariler, when he had so vehemently showed his objection to Autumnstar's idea.

Autumnstar snarled. "Do you question the ability of my clan?" she growled, her hackles rising. She slowly began to pace, her tail flicking and her fur bristling. She wasn't her usual composed self. "I am suggesting that if any of us need help, then we should. We shouldn't work so hard in defending our prey this leaf-fall but defending our territories against the rogues, not eachother," she said, sitting back down. "I am not saying that we should become like kin and live in each thers clans, but if we need an ally, we'll need someone to call upon," she muttered, raising her head.
"Do you know how many rogues there are?" she spat at Nightstar. "How do you know that your clan will be able to defend itself if there are several rogues invading? You don't. If you wish to lose your Clan then so be it. Spottedstar?" she said, looking at the she-cat. She looked directly int the cat's eyes, her own smouldering and fiery. She looked at the WindClan leader, hopefully she'd accept her offer. Which would mean that when the time came and the rogues attacked, they could rely on each ther to help.

Nightstar sighed and nodded his head in aknowledgement of what Autumnstar said could possibly be true. He frowned a little and forced his hackles to lay low instead of rising like Autumnstar's. He didn't like to loose his temper, it showed weakness in his eyes. One who could control themselves could control anything, for yourself was at times the hardest thing for you to control in his opinion. Anyway, what was the use of getting worked up? There was an agreement for this night so a fight couldn't decide it if they got into an arguement, he would only make enemies, which was one thing he definatly didn't want to do, especially at this time. He wrapped his tail around his paws, as if he were holding himself back from being angry, and only listened to Autumnstar, giving the nod of aknowledgement that I mentioned before.

~TC~ Graytail got to her paws and looked at the leaders. "I know a little about Darkwind! My friend Raindance told me about him! She said that Darkwind was once of RiverClan that he killed the deputy along with like three other warriors on the night he was made warrior. He had a kit with some loner and no one ever saw him again."

Spottedstar met Autmnstar's gaze without flinching, her eyes showing no emotion. "Thunderclan and Windclan have been alleys many times in the distant past", she meowed. "If this situation worsens, it might require all four clans to work and fight together. But I don't think it has come to that yet. Windclan has strong warriors to guard its borders, and has no reason to ask for help from other clans. True, an injured apprentice needed the care of Shadowclan's medicine cat a few moons back, but that was only a small favour because Snowshoe was out collecting herbs. Small favors like this might become common in the near future, but if it comes to alleys, we would have to talk about this again when the time is right. For now, the time is not right, as we do not know exactly what dangers we are facing."
The Windclan leader glanced down at Graytail, nodding to her words. "It is possible that he wants revenge on Riverclan, and maybe even all the clans. But how does he expect to do that? I believe that he lead the gang of rouges that attacked Icestorm, but they can't catch every warrior in the forest when they happen to be out alone."

Ooc|| I think that this should be our plot. Autumnstar has asked other Clans to be their allies, they all refuse. The rogues attack the Clans but when each of the leaders' want ThunderClan to help them, she is reluctant because they would ally with her.... But then she does. They drive out the rogues.
The end.
BiC|| Autumnstar raised her head in a dignified way. She looked around once more, her cool gaze sweeping over the cats. "Then so be it," she said softly and looked at the ThunderClan cats. "You know of the threat that we have from the rogues. Treat it well. Guard the Clan and territory well," she said softly. She looked at the sky and saw that the moon had almost gone. The Gathering was soon to be over.
Her gaze once swept the crowd again before she found the eyes of Patchpaw. She wanted to meet him in secret. ... Patchpw flicked his ears when Autumnstar looked at him. He nodded slightly in understanding then turned his back to her. He sighed softly. He was going to meet his mother.

Dankstar's eyes were narrowed, his maw slightly open as if contemplating something. He made no effort to enter into the other leader's argument; he simply listened. When Autumnstar had finished speaking, he spoke, even though it had seemed like the Gathering was done. "Spottedstar. We may not know the dangers, that is true. But when the time comes... will not it be too late? We should at least agree to the possibility of sending a small patrol-4 or 5 cats-if any Clan should need our help. I highly doubt this will happen, however," he added, his eyes sweeping around the High Rock. "As I have no illusions as to the... competency... of each Clan. However-if things get become too chaotic because we have underestimated our opponents, we should be allowed to send a messanger asking for help from a neighboring Clan-and we should get that help. Even if it is only four or five cats." he curled his lip slightly as he continued. "For, as I said before, it would be too late to discuss the problem." he nodded politely at the other leaders. He had slightly mended the barrier between him and the other leaders by acknowlodging the competance of each Clan, but nevertheless Dankstar felt that it would be wise to tread softly where matters such as these were concerned...

Autumnstar looked at Dankstar. She hadn't asked him because she thought he'd just scoff and turn them down. She smiled gently and looked again at Spottedstar and Nightstar, seeing what they'd say in return. She licked her lips and slowly nodded her head at Dankstar, quietly thanking him. She flicked her long, bushy tail and gazed around slowly. "We should ask the Clans," she said simpily.

Nightstar blinked coldly. This could work both ways, it could be good and then again it could be bad to agree to this. He didn't exactly like the idea of helping the other clans, why should he? But then if his clan ever did need help, though it seemed as it would be impossible to him that his clan would ever need help, they were strong. But then again, why take a chance of being enemies with the other clans by refusing? Or by some remote chance, what if the rogues were more powerful than he thought? He didn't like to take chances, but he was still a little worried about the arrangement, what it a clan said they needed help to lure a small patrol into their territory and then killed them? Yes, these wild thoughts did go through his mind quite often, he had always been a pessimist, always thinking about the worst that could happen.
Finally he figured that he should go ahead and agree despite his doubts. He shook his pelt, as though he were trying to shake away the unpleasant thoughts, and then nodded to Autumnstar. 'It sounds like that would be a good arrangement to me.' He meowed.
